Truck Bogging Down
My truck seems to be bogging down. When I take off and at low speeds it is fine. But when I get to higher speeds my truck seems to be bogging down, it won't accelerate as fast as it should. It seems like my truck is not getting enough fuel into the engine. I was told that my fuel filter is clogged, could this be the problem. If not what else could it be.
The truck is a 1995 Chevrolet K1500 with a V8 5.7L engine Last edited by lionheart21; 03-04-2006 at 03:12 AM. |

Re: Truck Bogging Down
it sounds like fuel pressure problems .Is that a throtle body with two injectors,if it is then thepressure it should be about 13 psi, replace your fuel filter and see what happen.for sure you need to check the fuel pressure

Re: Truck Bogging Down
Could be cap and rotor. Have noticed your water temp. being a little warmer.

Re: Truck Bogging Down
Change fuel filter-- drive it-- report back on results
