Rough starts when cold

Im having a proplem when trying to start my car when its cold. I normally use my remote starter in the mornings to let it run for about 30 mins before it drive it, but after 12 attempts (it tries to start 3x every time the button on the remote is pressed), it wouldnt start. So I went out there, and it acted like it wouldnt start. 2 Mins later, it did finally start, after but it didnt sound like it was running on all 4's. It acted like it wanted to stall out, but it didn't. it was blowing out blue smoke also. And I let it run like this for about 3 mins before driving it. Then for like the first 2 miles, I see light blue smoke coming from the excust, then it acts like everything is fine. I get to work, shut it off, then try to start it up again, and its fine. Went outside to my car during lunch today. Tried starting it up, and it did the samething, but this time it would stall out if the RPMs dopped below 600. I have no clue whats going on. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? I really would hate to take this car back to the dealer so they can milk me for more money!!

Re: Rough starts when cold

If there is blue smoke coming out of the exhaust then the engine is burning oil. I would remove the spark plugs and check to see if they are wet with oil. This would stop the engine from starting (no fire without a spark). Oil could be coming from bad valve stem seals, or rings. I would let a professional handle it if you are unsure how to proceed. Good luck.
