Driveline Slippage

I have a 2000 Bravada. Recently, the vehicle has developed a problem that I've been unable to solve. Problem: The vehicle has a slipping feeling somewhere in the drive train. It feels just like a hesitation miss in the engine. However, this only occurs while the vehicle is in gear and under acceleration. Its almost like a jumping feeling. The problem is evident in all gears and at any speed; however, is worse up an incline or after the vehicle is driven a few miles. I just replaced all front ball joints, idler arm and both wheel bearings, as well as all four tires. I'd noticed this problem a couple times before all the repairs, but it has worsened since the repairs. The problem is not present unless the vehicle is under acceleration.

Re: Driveline Slippage

Sounds like the torque converter clutch is slipping and you should have a check engine light on with the transmission component slipping trouble code.
Changing the transmission fluid and filter fixed mine. Don't fall for the transmission flush deal either, it cannot fully clean the filter...the transmission filter needs to be replaced as well as some fluid so take it to a general repair shop unless you have kinfolks in the transmission business.

Re: Driveline Slippage

get it scanned for trouble codes. not all tranny codes set a a light unless they happen more than once in awhile but they are stored.
