Wheel Drag

1994 Astro AWD LT
PROBLEM: When driving the passenger rear wheel drags when turning right or left, as if the brake was on, has anyone else had this issue? i have driven it like this for atleast 1000 miles before i replaced the axles and that did not solve the problem...

Re: Wheel Drag

Does the brake drum get too hot to touch after you have been driving?

Nope, infact i just replaced the ENTIRE REAREND and changed fluid. Which is kind of funny becuase now my front 2 wheels are kicking.... Has anyone else been in this situation? Next thing i will do is change the transfercase.....

Re: Wheel Drag

finally got around to it and decided to unplug the transfer case and that eliminated my problem! no more kicking or dragging! besides being a 2wd for the moment the car hasn't driven so smoothly!

Re: Wheel Drag

Locking diff? Could be a problem with it binding, not releasing.
