Question

can anyone help?

My 93 civic won't start, turn the key and absolutely nothing. So I had my friend push the clutch in and leave the key in the on position and I was able to start the car by jumping the starter. Anyway how can I figure out what the problem is? It has got to be between the ignition and the starter probably a wiring issue... can anyone help?
