installing a ram jet in place of 3.1 v6 what are some things I should know?

I am going to purchase a Ram Jet 350 crate engine to install into my camaro and hope to kick some import ass but I need to know what are some of the problems I might encounter? someone told me that the 700r4 transmission I got might not fit the 350. I thought the 700 fit a v8 but I guess I could have been ASSuming. ..will I have to change the fuel pump?

Re: installing a ram jet in place of 3.1 v6 what are some things I should know?

this should be made a sticky or something... the 700r4 on a six is weaker than the v8 and has a different bellhousing. You could techinically swap bellhousing but the v8 will eat the sixer 700r4 to bits. Other than that you need some suspesion work and exhaust work and your tach wont be accurate. Then the 10 bolt rear you have is probably an open differential so unless you want crappy gearing and want to do one wheel wonders all the time you should change that too. Thats all I can think of. Others will chime in eventually. Good luck! Ramjets are the shizzy.

and it would be best if you change the fuel pump. I think you might be able to get away without it but it would probably kill your power potential completely. Could be wrong on that one.
