Keyless entry

I purchased a keyless remote and used the owners manual to program it, using the old programed fob to program the new. However when I programed the new the old stop working and when I used the new to program the old the new stop working. I could never get them both to work.

Re: Keyless entry

For most cars, you have to program all remotes within a couple of minutes of each other. When you do the programming procedure, you wipe out all the information in the computer's memory, so you have to have all the remotes with you when you do the procedure, and do them one after the other until they are all programmed in.

Re: Keyless entry

Hold the LOCK and UNLOCK button down on your previously programmed remote for 7-10 seconds to see if the receiver will recognize the remote. This is how you resynchronize the remotes.
