Turn signals stall 94 Regal Custom

My turn signals have caused the Voltmeter to wag for some time. However, now they seem to be able to drive it to zero and engin stalls. Car will restart. Battery and alternator less than 1 year old and checked. Red lead off positive terminal is clean and tight. Ground off of negative is clean and tight. Anyone have a ideas. I have seen a number of brake light postings with regards to the turn signal switch. Can a flasher or relay short and cause this. Car is fine as long as I don't use signals.

Thanks,
