my first vitara questions

hi all , just bought amy first vitara a jlx 1600 petrol k reg,
and i need to know a few things please
1, petol gauge only goes up to three quarters full?
2, would like to buy or download a maintance manual for it
3, when i start up in the mornig engine noisy but quiets down a lot as engine gets warm, been told that it could be cam or if the tappets are hydraulic it could be them?
