Blue Book Value would place this car around $18,000. Which means you could get for 15k if you looked and probably around 12-13k off of ebay.

Thats wierd, when I ran it through kbb.com from a private party I got $19-20,000. Throw in the $1,500 in modifications and it looks like a good deal to me. (Technically mods shouldn't raise the value of the car but if you want the mods, then they are worth something.) You don't see a whole lot of E36 M3s with that low milage.

The car looks great, good luck with it.

Yea KBB is low on the value of the E36 M3s anyway.

I found a 98 with 18K miles for $22K. The only thing is that it had been put up in storage for a while and I just wouldn't trust the gaskets.

I ran it as a private party not a dealr car and also 3rd party addons actually lower the dealer value of a car

Technically that is true. If I wern't interested in tuning or modding, I would be less inclined to buy a modified car, but if you do care about things like that, I would be willing to pay kbb value or more for the car. When I sell my M3 in a year or so, I'll probably go looking for someone that cares about stuff like the Dinan S2 kit, BBS wheels, and the CSL trunk so that I can get more for the car, I know that that isn't how its supposed to work, but people will pay what they think the car is worth. The buyer and the seller are what it comes down to when determining the value of a car, not statistics that a book (or website) puts together. Also, like 01L2Cobra said, KBB runs a little low on the price of many BMWs. They underestimate the demand for the cars.

I called my insurance company to get a quote and ended up talking to them about a loan as well when I was looking at a 99 up at BMW of Austin. In the process they told me that list on one with 65K miles was $19475. Plus Dinan parts aren't like other aftermarket parts. They may not be made by BMW but most are dealer installed and do not void BMW warranties.

I have a co worker that just baught a 1999 stock M3 yesterday. He paid $16,500 with 49k miles. looks goregous if you ask me. Thats in Tuson, Arizona. I have a 1995 with 69k miles I paid $12,000 for mine. It looks flawless!. Just wheel and deal for the car as low as you can get it. All BMW dealerships go thru KBB.COM for their price quotes so thats the most accurate you should be able to find.

According to shop it’s in very good condition in fact its better than most they has seen. There is only a small list of the typical stuff due to the age and mileage of the car. I went ahead and made an offer I just need to call my insurance company and get the loan. It looks like next Sunday it will be mine!!!
