Magna Steer
What will happen to my steering if I disconnect the power cord that goes to the steering rack (95 Aurora)? Does anyone know the specifics of how this unit works, and if it is malfunctioning will it cause the car to pull to one side or the other?
Thanks. |

Re: Magna Steer
I have not actually seen it on my car, just in the pictures. every parts store I call for a steering rack says it has magna steer. The car feels like it does, steering gets harder has speed increases.

Re: Magna Steer
I found reference to it in my 96 manual so it did start earlier than I thought.
I know in my 99GTP the ABS was acting up and it disabled the magnasteer, traction control, and cruise control.Seems like all systems are related via PCM. |

I pulled the plug by the rack and pinion on my 02 because I could not stand the notchy feeling from it.
It has been disconnected for a few months now and no issues what so ever. And it steers so much better in my opinion. Marc |
