What year and model Grand Prix do you have?

If it is a SE or GT that appears to be normal because the stock PCM has speed limiter.

Same with lots of other cars in america. My GA used to top out at 107mph w/89 octane and 110mph w/93oct.

THink the GTs are higher than Se's GA oor GP.
A chip mod would/could remove this limiter though expensive to do just for the Speed Limiter.

We've got several '97 and up GTs in the local club and they complain about cutting off at 108 mph with the stock PCM. The range is somewhere around 108 - 112 for stock.

Hard to say about an SE because they can have a 3.1L or the Series II 3800.

Stock GTPs will unequivocally do around 126 - 128 mph before cut off.

I don't have to worry about it because I have a DHP v 1.0 PCM and the speed limiter is removed.

yeah i just put mine in last night....speedo went past 115 before i decided to get out of it...whereas i ran into a wall w/ the speedo just past 105 before..

if you want to change the pcm to get higher speeds, i think dhp(digital horsepower) is selling them for 99 bucks now plus the core charge. most people here are very pleased with the dhp pcm.

lol. Too much competition and loss of sales to Intense. It is about time DHP woke up. The Intense still has better custom programming costs for the guys that are modded.

ya i have to say i have seen a lot of used dhp's on other web sites for sale lately, not too many from intense.

Thanks for letting us know what model and year GP you have.

Then you definitely have a problem. What other symptoms, if any? Have you ever taken the car in for service at a GM dealer where they may have overwritten or reflashd the PCM programming?

nope the last time it went to the dealer was to get the pcm put in. i brought the car for a spin today, i held it in third gear till it hit the rev limiter and shifted in to drive and hit 110? i could have gone faster but my mom was hitting me!!!!!! i dont get it!
