anyone get this kit yet?

Revell's new Acura RSX, supposedly comes with stock parts so I wonder what year they represent. the 02-04, or the 05-06, judging by the headlights on the box, i'm guessing 02-04

Re: anyone get this kit yet?

It should be out this week? If it is, then LHS should have it. Too bad they screwed us on the WRX/STi plastic kits

Here you go Honda dorks;)

Seems to be from the same mold as the diecast release. Only with the plastic parts of course, having a different body kit, and stock, and different wheels. Will will comment on this kit. Because I am Honda dumb

There was a lindberg kit with a sprue like this. You can make a trailer from it. I will

The ricer decals are in a cool metallic purple. The CF doesn't look too bad..but the design of it is just dumb.

And here's Willimo with more words

Re: anyone get this kit yet?

The kit looks nice, I can't wait to get it!
It looks better than the Fujimi's RSX...

It's strange that the wheels are not chrome plated....

The wheels are chrome plated. Just like they shouldn't be.

Re: anyone get this kit yet?

It looks pretty good, actually. It's rectified my biggest gripes with Revell's tuners, but allowing you to choose the stock bumpers and stock wheels, and the stock wheels even look pretty close to the correct size, and fit to tires that seem pretty stock as well.

The stock wheels look pretty accurate, from what I can see in those pictures. That's good, it will save me from having to use C6 rims on the Fujimi kit. The chrome plating shouldn't stop any of us, strip it off and shoot some aluminum paint over it and you're good to go. It also includes the same weird rims from the diecast, but some rims that look a lot likle Superlegeras, which is really cool if you ask me. Great work there.

It also includes stock front seats. That's good too. The weird Brand-X seats that the diecast came with were... weird. This comes with those, too, but also stock seats.

The motor and all are the same as the diecast, which is excellent. They did a pretty good job, though the detail is kind of soft. It's a good representation though, and that motor will find its way into many other Honda models, no doubt.

This looks like a really good kit, with all the things you need to make a stock RSX (to keep our girlfriends happy) but enough parts to play around with other stuff, even though it's all sort of funky. This is just what the tuner kits should be, a nice array of parts that you can either use or not use to make any variation of the car from stock, to mild custom, to full on weird. Kudos, Revell.

Re: anyone get this kit yet?

The only thing I don't like about this kit was the tail lights, They made it all RED!!

The real deal:

I mean, Revell could have at least made the tail lights clear so that we could paint the colors ourselves, if not made the different colors separate pieces

Otherwise, the proportions look pretty good! I have seen the diecast one and I think it looks better than the fujimi DC5R.(at least the front end)

Re: anyone get this kit yet?

Dually noted Kaho. I also just realized this at work today. They didn't include the rear glass wiper. Not a major deal. Also, converting to an 06 might not be that difficult. Half ass Revell all the way
