door locks

I have a 2000silverado, and recntly installed a new window regulator[d/s]. Now my d/s door locks with or without the key in the ignition. Can anyone help?????

On most vehicles with power locks, the switch normally works whether the key is on or not. Sounds normal to me.

2001 2500HD mine doesn't lock without the key in. I don't know what your problem is though.

Mine locks with or without the key being in the ignition. Sounds like it's working OK to me.

the problem that i have is that when remove the key the doors unlock, which is ok. after a short time, after closing the door with the key removed the door atomatically locks.GM's auto lock feature is to make sure you do not lock your keys in your vehicle. any help now. thanks for previous replies!

Check your owners manual. I think theres like 3 or 4 ways to reprogram your power locks.

I can not lock the d/s door using the switch when the key is in the ignition. That is normal. if it locks, then it may need to be reprogramed.
