Metro wont start

I have a 96 1L Metro and it doesn't want to start. When cranking it will fire momentarily and run very rough(couple sec), then quit. Of note, last week it coded for the the front O2 sensor, I cleared it and continued on driving it with the intention of getting to it when I get to it. Could the faulty O2 sensor cause it not to run right? I really haven't done much in the lines of troubleshooting this, just kind of wanted to see what y'all think of this.

Also, the JDM engines they sell on ebay are listed for swapping up to 95. If you change out the oil pump, could you put one in a 96/newer?

Re: Metro wont start

Sorry to waste any time here. I did check the coil, wires, plugs, and a few other things, and all checked out good. Additionally it had good spark and was getting fuel. I was dilly dallying with it with my buddy and tried to start it with the throttle wide open. Low and behold, it started up. Go figure!

Anyway, thanks for your reply Doc.
