Stock amp

Hey where is the stock amp in a 01 taurus? Another question how did you guys connect your amp?

the stock stereo "brain"/amp is on the left side of the trunk under the carpet.

what exactly do you mean by "connect"?

OOOOO that thing is the amp... Now it all makes sense. Okay what I ment was how did you hook up your after market amp in your taurus. I was thinking it was in front under the dash... Got this info from a non-taurus owner. Any way since its its in the trunk that will work great.

BTW is it possible to hook up a aux to the amp? I dont care if this takes away the stock stero.

I know on the JBL Audio systems it is either built into or mounted directly ontop of the read chassis unit.
