b series comparison

I'm looking to buy an integra. plans would include a full motor tear down with new internals. so a piston swap for higher compression, and ported and polished heads will be there. i was just wondering if there were any performance advantages between the blocks of a b18a1,b18b, b18b1, b18c, b18c1, b18c5 or any other b18 motors out there i forgot to mention. also the motor will running a good amount of boost, if that makes any diiference. Also what is the max compression ratio + amount of boost i can run and stay safe(w/o detonation). Any info appreciated. thanks in advance.

Re: b series comparison

You give too little info for a good answer. Since you said boost, get a GSR Integra and boost that. How much power do you want is my question.

Re: b series comparison

basically im just trying to see if there is any difference in the blocks. i knew the gsr series had higher compression pistons, which is what made more power. but if i take the non gsr engine and add pistions , would i have the same motor. i plan on running a boost controller so when i want i crank up the boost to high teens. i want to shoot for 400-500 hp
