Anybody here with a solid axle conversion?

Does anybody here have a nineties vintage Chevy K series that has been converted to solid axle?
Just looking for feedback wether you like it or not.
What is the minimum lift obtained with the conversion.
I would like to pick up an early to mid nineties shortbox regular cab and ditch the IFS in favor of a Dana 60 or similar. Thing is, I'm not looking for a monster truck when I'm done. Was thinking of maybe about four to six inches of lift maximum. Would like to clear 35's but no bigger.
Anybody?

Your IFS has better ground clearance. Why would you want to do that? Is it because leaf springs are cheaper? Straight axles are stronger but a really rough ride.
