Anybody here with a solid axle conversion?
Does anybody here have a nineties vintage Chevy K series that has been converted to solid axle?
Just looking for feedback wether you like it or not. What is the minimum lift obtained with the conversion. I would like to pick up an early to mid nineties shortbox regular cab and ditch the IFS in favor of a Dana 60 or similar. Thing is, I'm not looking for a monster truck when I'm done. Was thinking of maybe about four to six inches of lift maximum. Would like to clear 35's but no bigger. Anybody? |

Re: Anybody here with a solid axle conversion?
Your IFS has better ground clearance. Why would you want to do that? Is it because leaf springs are cheaper? Straight axles are stronger but a really rough ride.
