Greatest shows of all time

Lets start listing all the greatest shows. I would have to say I was always a fan of The Fall Guy. Or the Dukes

Seinfeld - it was the greatest show ever and probably the funniest
Simpsons - a 15 year old adult cartoon that helped pave the way for all the ones we see today
SNL - sure, some years are bad, but the ones that were right on were hilarious
MXC - little asians running around getting hurt, it's just funny
Family Guy - when Simpsons and South Park meet
South Park - society needs to be made fun of, this show does that
Chappelle's Show - Rick James, basketball with Prince, Black Bush, need I say more?

Re: Greatest shows of all time

The Wonder Years was my shit back in the day, i wish they still played reruns of it. Fresh Prince of Bel Air is one of the best shows ever. i think Rosanne was a good show too, i know most people hate Rosanne Bar, but that show was damn funny and it changed the way people think of typical "Family sitcoms"

Re: Greatest shows of all time

I agree with all the suggestions made above.

IMO TV shows should be rated for quality compared to other shows at the time they were being made. WKRP in Cincinatti would be okay today, but 26 years ago it was a cutting-edge sitcom and was really good.

I always liked all the Star Trek series, but the last 3 years of The Next Generation was their golden age.

The newest Battlestar Galactica series is exceptional. Sure it's made on a budget, but it's dramatic and well done with a terrific dark and dismal overtones.

Stargate and Stargate Atlantis have built a terrific sci-fi universe and have developed their plot lines well, and have some exceptional episodes.

Many early 'Frasier' episodes were very good, but the series got pretty tired near the end.

I always liked 'The Outer Limits' (both new and old series) and 'The Twilight Zone'.

Re: Greatest shows of all time

I loved Seinfeld when it was on, no sitcom has ever been as good.

Other picks are-
The Daily Show (I loved Indecision 04')
South Park
Arrested Development (Fox needs to die for letting this go)
The West Wing (before the origional writer had to leave it was amazing, now just good)
Simpsons
Top Gear (not super popular, but as a car guy I love it)

Re: Greatest shows of all time

Seinfeld is definitely one of the best tv shows ever and is most definitely the best sitcom of all time.
other favorits include...
family guy
MXC
Ed
24 (i can't believe nobody's mentioned this one yet...it's so good!)
tail spin (saturday morning cartoons just aren't the same anymore)

i used to like CSI, but now i'm so sick of all shows that have anything to do with the justice system...i just can't handle it anymore...but they keep pumping more and more out!
