WIP : Sil80

Started this year with sil80. I hope a worth it. Haven't done the modelling 4 about 6 month and may be it's going to be a slow progress (to recall the forgotten skills). Anyway, this is base from Fujimi sil80

To do: lowering job, hood vent, wider fender, fender vents, custom front bumper, custom rear bumper and sunroof .......ummmmm may be a cabriolet

try fitting the air dam

fitting r34 rear bumper

rear view

done with side skirt

i'll try to finish front bumper tonight. glad to here comments.

Re: WIP : Sil80

sorry for slow progress. don't hv much time 4 modelling lately. But anyway, this hv been done so far. bonnet vent, fender vent, over fender and sun roof. sorry 4 terrible pict. (phone camera, my digital camera broken)

Hood vent: styreen sheet and tamiya putty

Fender vent

rear overfender

sunroof

a lot of sanding to do then it'll come to the hardest part for me.....painting. For the beginning i think i'm going to paint it white but after seeing what happenned to white evo7, i think i'll paint it light gunmetal.( my evo become a bit yellowish after sometimes). any suggestion guys?

Re: WIP : Sil80

looking good so far. Painting is also a scary part for me. gunmetal and light gunmetal have been kind to me in the past. It's strangely hard to make white look good in a model. i think its because it is harder to make out the contrast and the contours of the kits so they look oversimplified. othere colors shine more and show off the details better. good luck on the paint. looking forward to more progress
