1994 J.G.C not starting ( completely dead ). Very detailed
So, I get in my JGC ( starts up just fine ), go to the store, and come back home ( no problems ).
An hour later I get in my JGC and turn the key, NOTHING. No chime, no interior lights, and no cranking starter. The only thing that came on where the abs, check engine, and air bag lights. I jump started the battery and my JGC started up just fine. I let my JGC warm up for about 15 min. and then turned it off. I went to start up my JGC again and the same thing happens. NOTHING. I had the battery & alternator tested @ Auto Zone. I was told both are perfectly fine. Does anyone have any ideas ?? By the way, this is a 1994 J.G.C Laredo 5.2 V8 Thank You |

Check for a loose ground cable or wire.

While holding the key in start position where it would/should normally start with your left hand try wiggling the shifter with your right. Don't take it out of park but just move it back and forth however much it will go.
Kind of awkward using the left hand to turn the key but this should tell you if it's the neutral safety switch which is very common.

Sounds like a bad ground connection.
