Question '67 body conversion

i am new to mustangs( came from the import car side) and i was thinking about a '64. its a good price so i think i am getting it. but i like the the '67 looks a little better. can you chance the the '64 to look like the '67 with minor mods

I would guess any thing is possible, but is it worth it. The body on the 67 is completely different from hood to deck, and I believe it's also wider (at least the engine compartment is). I believe you would have to change the front fenders, valance, grill, good, doors, quarters, deck lid, rear valance and tail light panel just for starters. On the interior the dash and seating is different as well. About the only common items are the mechanical and the chassis.

Save your money and buy what you want rather than even thinking about converting.

I'm sorry to hear you think an import would be a better choice than a classic Mustang. If you're looking for speed, I don't know how you could beat a big block mustang with a few modifications. And we all know the styling puts most rice burners to shame.

But it's your money and you have to do what is righ for you. Good luck in your search.
