Question Newbie to a Honda... looking into buying a 92' hatch w/ JDM H22

hey everyone! Im a newbie in the honda forum so i need a little help. Ok Im looking into buying a 92 Civic Hatch that has a H22 JDM motor in it. The hatch is running 12's and that is pretty damn quick for a street car however... The body of the car is 95% good condition and the paint job is Stock but really clean. As for the motor... It has a built head and and all... but the thing that gets me is that the motor doesn't even have a fan to cool off the radiator. It has a skunk2 cams and cam gears.. rods and pistons and its all JDM. So what do you guys think?? Clean 92 hatch with a h22 Jdm motor with no fan radiator and they are asking $5400?

Well, is he still using one of those stock dinky civic radiators or has he upgraded to a fatter one like koyo or fluidyne? If it's still the stock radiator, then i'd watch out. If it's an upgraded radiator, then you can probably get away with no fan for a while, though I'd add one later on for safety.

I agree, definately get a fan (or two) hooked up. That's a pretty good deal though

No its not the stock radiator. It is the kinda slim aftermarket one. So you guys think that is a good deal then. Im going to head over to my bank and get a loan just incase. I know who ever owned that car took that Jdm motor to hell... but other then that i dont hear any knocking noises. My other question is that i know people say you can not have A/C in the car.. but i was wondering if there is any company out there that makes a custom A/C to fit?

Re: Newbie to a Honda... looking into buying a 92' hatch w/ JDM H22

I would say call up some shops that do A/C's and see if they'd be able to rig something up. With the right amount of money you can make anything happen

But how's the suspension on that car? I've heard with the H22 in any civic w/ a weak suspension = plow city. I'd say go for it, but be prepaired to pay for upgraded springs/shocks/sways ect. I'm sure it'll be lots cheaper than running the risk of paying for body work.
