D15B2 to D16Z6 swap need some help!

well iv been reading for days, and still dont have all my questions awnsered. and No help form anyone on Honda tech.

i have an 88' civic with the DPFI, so i bought a Z6 to swap in. i bought the SI harness, a PR3 ECU, and the fuel resistor box is in the mail. now i know im going to have to run some wires from the ECU to the Vtec solonoid. now do i need to run any extra wires for the injectors even though i have the si harness?
and is their an OBD 0 distributor i can run on the Z6 head that will bolt up to the Z6. i figured i could probably make some brackets to make it bolt up, but i also read that i needed a distributor off of a Vtec (is this true). i also read that the TPS might not work, it might be backwards? is this a problem even though im using the SI harness? is their anything else i need to be aware of, as i need to get this thing running.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: D15B2 to D16Z6 swap need some help!

Do a search on a Z6 swap on google or something, there are a bunch of how-tos explaining what all you need to do, they answer all of those questions, minus the fuel injectors, which if you use the Si harness i don't see you having to run extra, but from what i have heard its easier to just use the stock DX harness over the Si.

if i wasn't on dail up and lazy i would get you the links. I know www.4thgenerationcivic.com used to have a few links on it, but last i heard the site was down, could still check though.

FAQ is a great place to start. Or any of the recent threads that have been started, a lot have to do with doing a d16z6 swap or something similar.

Try searching MPFI swap... then searching Mini-me. You'll need both, since that's essentially what you're doing... if you're not actually using the mini-me setup, and you're just swapping in the Z6, ignore the engine building part.
