Mustang I am thinking about getting.

Hey everyone, I am 16 and for my first car I have around 7,000 bucks. I have been looking and I found this mustang that I went and checked out and its pretty nice. Only problems are that it has a minor crack and dent in the front bumper and the passanger window mechanizm is broken. I am seriousally thinking about getting it, but was wondering how much it would cost to get it fixed/replaced. Thanks guys, heres the link.

Whoa buddy, Why a 6 cylinder? Save your breath look for an 8 cylinder, you'll find a nice one for alot less then they want for that 6cyl.

Re: Mustang I am thinking about getting.

Who says he needs a mod motor to have a V8? A Fox3 5.0 or SN95 GT would go for less than that. Then again, fast cars are not always the best first cars...

That 2001 looks like a decent car. I dont like the fact that its an automatic, but it will help if you dont know how to drive a manual. I met one of my old man's coworkers at the track and he was in his wife's '01 V6 5-spd. It only had a few thousand miles on it and he drove it like he hated it down to a 14.6. I was like .

Re: Mustang I am thinking about getting.

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with a V6, but if your gonna get a V6, why get a mustang. And for 7,300 bucks, why not get a 99 GT. You can find 8 cyl for $7,300 No problem. As far a the first car problem is concerned, i know many many many people who have had fast cars as first cars and never wrecked them or anything. Its all about how you drive.

you can DEFINATLY get a 99-04 v6 for 7k, no problem. infact you might even be able to find a 99gt for that kinda money.

and it really doesnt take all that much to get a v6 into 14s
