Barn Found 69 Imapala SS 427 4-Speed.....need to sell
This is my first post on a Chevy Site due to a "Barn Find" last night. Thought you all might be able to give me some insight.
Stumbled upon a 1969 Impala SS 427 4-Speed Bench seat car in a local farmers barn here in Indiana. It still has the original 390 hp 427 and original Muncie 4-speed in the car. All #'s matched. The car runs and drives......actually very well. It has been in his barn since 1985 and still has the Texas plates on it from 1985. Odometer and Title suggest it has 100,660 miles on it and has had only 2 owners since 1972.
Interior and Body need restoration, but the car is actually pretty solid except for a hole in the drivers side pan up front of about 6X6 inches. All of the badges were removed and placed in a bag in 1985......all badges were acounted for. He also threw in one front and one rear GM NOS quarters he had found that even still had the GM sticker on the fender/quarter. Also was a 69 SS grill still in a GM box.....brand new NOS. He was collecting these parts in case he ever wanted to restore the car.......actually just never needed them.
Trying to find out how rare 69 SS 427 Impalas are with Bench seats and 4-Speeds (production #?)..........Also trying to find out how much something like this may be worth.......or who would be a good resource to establish for what I'm looking for.
Thanks for any input you all may have.......just trying to attempt to put a reasonable value on the car as I attempt to sell it. Just too cool of a car to fade into oblivion in a barn.
