headlights

1986 trans-am,both headlights will not go up when i turn the switch on,but will go down when i turn the switch off,after i manually raise them.anybody else had this problem?

My friend did. The passenger side light didnt pop up. When he took a close look he saw that the hood was pushed down a nice bit. It was also a little off centered. He had to pop the hood everytime he had to turn the lights on. Try and look to see if anything is stuck or throwing off the alingment. The motors are obviously fine since they go down.

Check your headlight switch, often they go bad, still turn the lights on but do not raise them.

Where exactly is the erlay for the headlight motors? What year of Firebird have you got? I'm looking for the relay on my '87 Firebird.
