1996 Rodeo Driver's Side Mirror question

I have a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo that has been running great since I bought it back in 1997. However, last week some punks in my neighborhood broke off my driver's side power mirror, and I have to replace it. It's dangling by the wire right now. My question is, do I have to get a power mirror? Or can I put a manual one in there? The manual mirrors are about 15-20 bucks, and the power ones are $100 and up. Any suggestions? I can always just reach out the window to adjust it, since it's the driver's side. If I put a manual one in there, what do I do with the cables? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 1996 Rodeo Driver's Side Mirror question

I had the same problem when my wife shot an airball in the driveway and it landed on the outside top of the mirror, snapping it off cleanly. I went the junkyard route for $125 for the power replacement. I don't know the particulars of the manual replacement, but the power swap out is easy enough.

Re: 1996 Rodeo Driver's Side Mirror question

I was quoted almost $600 for the power mirror on my passport. You could get a manual one and have maaco paint it to match. I used jb weld to glue mine back in place. Its been hanging on there now for three years. Total cost $5

I couldn't find the answer to your question in the book, but I think still think the plug is behind the door panel.
