95 Windstar Slipping Transmission

This problem has been happening erratically, so I feel that I'll need to rebuild it. Can someone give me a good place to get a bit of help with this. Is there a website or printed material that will give me help?
Thanks in advance for anything that anyone can do.

Hello

Are you going to do the rebuild? I know that some of the Ford trannies have alum. pistons in them that crack and cause slipping.

I did a google on transmission rebuild manuals and found this: http://www.phoenixhardparts.com/inde...TS&Category=24

I hope this helps in some way.

Regards

Dan

I may be right behind you, or so it seems. Someone could make a career of repairign these inadequate automatic boxes.

Get an ATSG manual for the transmission (AX4S/AXODE). You can order them from several places. This one is reasonable:
