Maybe it's just my eyes...

When I look at my truck from the rear it looks like my right tire/wheel is sitting on an angle. It looks like the top of the tire is leaning inwards and the bottom is kicked out. Anyone have any idea what could be going on here other then me needing glasses?

Thanks

sounds like your toe in angle is out of whack....time for an alignment.

Make sure your rims bolt holes are not wolding out (getting bigger).

May be a weak or broken spring causing the box to dip a little on one side.?

Re: Maybe it's just my eyes...

Wow, I didn't see the rear was the culprit, sorry. My mistake. Yeah, I would definately look at the rim and the axle/suspension components.

Re: Maybe it's just my eyes...

I went out and eyed up the bed to the cab and it seemed like the entire bed was leaning a little to the right. I got a measuring tape and checked it in four different places, all level, and my right side sits about 7/8" lower then the right side. Would this be a normal difference or should I be checking for a bad shock or something?

Re: Maybe it's just my eyes...

I remember a few months ago I was hauling 1,200lbs of potatos for someone and I went down into a little valley and when I really hit the bottom part I heard this loud pinging noise, it almost sounded like a piece of metal fell out of my truck and bounced down the road. Never had a problem since then..I'm wondering if one of the springs didn't crack somewhere that it's not visible from looking from the outside.

Re: Maybe it's just my eyes...

So is it your truck that's leaning or your rear tire/wheel have negative camber? If it's lower on the drivers side thats simply the infamous chevy lean. They all do it. B/c gm is full of morons and insist on loading the entire drivers side with all the weight instead of distributing out. I can tell too and it's my biggest gripe.

Re: Maybe it's just my eyes...

It looks like it's just the truck leaning to the right (passenger side). I think it's a sagging spring, I'll look into it. Thanks for everyones input.
