Cool cd player

I recently bought a factory cd player (ac delco) for my 99 gt. I have a tape deck in there now. They are the same size. How hard is it to take my tape deck out and put the cd player in? What do i have to take off and what don't i have too. Any help would be greatfull.

Re: cd player

Real simple, just gently pull out the trim around the radio etc, there's two screws holding the tape player in, disconnect antenna & power source from the back of the unit and installation is reverse in order.

Re: cd player

Pull the trim from the headlight switch area first and disconnect the wire. You will also need to adjust the steering column to manuver it out and watch out for those metal clips and they can easily scratch your dash area...
