Exclamation Need +12 volt constant wire color

Hey all, I'm installing a Peripheral iPod2car interface, and it requires me to splice into the +12 constant wire; and ground.. Does anybody know what color these wires are?
I have a 2005 silverado LT with the Bose 6 speaker system.. Thanks!

Re: Need +12 volt constant wire color

I have a schematic of your radio. Let me know if you can't find the orange wire. I'm sure there are other sources of 12+.

Ground = BLK/WHT 1851 (you should be able to attach to the chassis, just find a screw or bolt attached to your metal frame work under the dash some where)

12+ = Orange 340 (comes from the radio 15A fuse, in the fuse box, located underhood)

You could go straight to the fuse box to "Aux. Pwr 2 Fuse 20A" shows it not being used.

This one is located in the fuse box inside the cab. Just inside the drivers side door, I believe. You may have to install the 20A fuse. I don't know if it's there. If you look up underneath the dash, hopefully there is a pin or blade labeled Aux 2 that you can connect to without having to splice any wires.

Looks like the back side is labeled "A10" and "G" there are two 12+ off of Aux2.

Any time. I have the GM service manual 1998-2005 that others here have.
Now, if I could only trade a schematic or info for a VIN lookup.

Talking Re: Need +12 volt constant wire color

Cool thanks a billion, got er all hoooked up and it works great.. Found the orange wire behind the deck and spliced into it. The fuse box did have a 20A Aux 2 port, and a fuse installed, but I couldn't figure out where it is in the back there was no labeling. Just had to use a standard blue wire splicer it was easy as pie.

Thanks again! =D
