Cool Cobra Stats

Can anyone give me some stats on the 96 cobras. I need stuff like 0 to 60 times, quarter mile times, horsepower and torque, and weight. As a matter of fact I would also like stats for any mustang 96 and up. I am shopping for a car and I want to start with a solid performer, then turn it into a beast. So any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Does it have a 5sp or a 6sp. How strong is the transmission aka how much power can a stock one take

Re: Cobra Stats

1982-2004 V6 Mustangs T5/T-45
1982-2001 (Early) GT Mustangs T5/T-45 *
1993-1999 Cobra T5/T-45
2001-2004 GT Mustang 3650
2001 Cobra 3650
2003-2004 Mach 1 3650
2001-2002 Bullit 3650
2003-2004 Cobra T-56 6 Speed

* The Mustang GT in 2001 had both the T5/T-45 and 3650 Transmissions. Check the driver's door for a sticker and look under "TR" for a "K". If it has a "K" then it has the 3650 Transmission.

*Note*
The 2000 Cobra R used a T56 however it is the only car to run the T56 with that gearing. Most 2000 Cobra R owners have to go to a Viper or 03/04 Cobra T56 if theirs ends up with problems as those gears are no longer still being produced.
