We lost a good Maxima out there....

It was a dry, still kind of sunny night. All was going well, just driving straight. I come over a hill and to my surprise there is a blue mini van turning from the opposite side of traffic in front of me. I quickly think, Ill swerve to my left and go into the feild on the other side, I begin to turn the wheel and see oncoming traffic coming at me, that's when I realize I have no choice but to show this mini van a close up of my front end....

...POW...

After the collision, I lose all power and just roll into that feild that I had originally intended to go. I sit and reflect in my car for a moment, listening to the radio that was still playing and watching the smoke pour from my hood. I get out of the car and walk away, afraid to look at the damage. Finally I walk around to see my front passenger side pushed in. This is when it occurs to me, its over. There will be no more taking it to the Max.

Now, the other insurance company has conceeded liability and I will be re-imbursed for my Maxima(assuming that its totaled). Perhaps with the money I will purchase a new Maxima, but it will never be the same.

RIP Maxima 1989 - February 23, 2006

First things First = THE Driver:
- Goal for a drive is always with the driver, occupants; pleasure or business
- Any Human goal ... Turned upside down under one microsecond.
- Consider Youre lucky to write this...
- You still have the future freedom to select roads, speeds, deeds
- Today each of us is one day nearer the ultimate yield, not one max left to eternity
- Its good to learn this yielding on all levels, step by step
- Sorry to hear, been there...

Smashed handiworks:
- Feelings will surely be down; a stop to learn, see, give time to lesser travelers
- Refocuse: chance to align priorities as one smash doesnt restrain next

Last things Last = THE beloved Maxima:
- Car starts to diffuse even before its parts are assembled - doomed. Enjoy this day.
- Thinkabout what kinda princes 'we' are today: abundance of cheap Royal speeding entertainment centers, compared to limited unaffordable Caesars chariots on dirt trails, just 100yrs ago.
- Doesnt care what I think...

After 'mandatory shaking period', cheer up and go find another maximized chariot!

I might be looking for an '03 3.5 SE 6-Speed. If the price and options are right.

Too bad you'll loose rear wheel independence to an [rear] axis 'of evil'...
