Spec-V and a TSI

So tonight i went out cuz it was a good warm missouri winter. 50 degress in february isn't something to pass up. Went out to the spot, and met up with some of the guys. On a loal forum the guy w/ the spec-v i had previously raced kept talking smack about beating eclipses and even another one, a TSI, and that they were women's cars... ok well i know that already, but he drives a sentra; he's a complete dumbass. so, the guy w/ the spec-V had a jerry-rigged intake, and wanted a re-match, so i said ok, lets go. This guy is not the brightest bulb in a box of burnt out bulbs, so he still thinks he has a chance.

Line up from a dig, and he gives three honks. All i have to say is i love my tires. Magic in motion i put a carlength on him from the dig, and slowly pulled another car by the beginning of fourth gear.

He wasn't satisfied, so on the way back he gets next to me and starts honking again. Well, i wasn't ready, so i put it in second from a ~50 roll. Definitely not a good plan, i instantly had to shift to third and lost a carlength. Third i was playing catch up, and by the end of fourth i had him by a nose, and decided that was enough to prove myself.

Next was a guy that i was supposed to race had raced the spec-v and had won and lost against the spec-v. I think TSI, i think hey, they have free mods and are 14 sec contenders if the owner took the time under the hood to straighten out a few things right?

Wrong.
The guy was pretty much stock, and didn't even know what an MBC was. So we line up, each of us w/ a passenger (we were both heading home, and you can't turn around for a while, so... yes i know its not safe). My friend honks my horn 3 times and we're off, not a bad start, but absolutely no spin. I can hear his tires squeelin' and it sounded like he bogged some. Not a big deal, i've beaten TSI's off the line before, its third gear they come back to get me normally. So first, second, third, and the beginning of fourth he was sitting back there just behind my blind spot. Not bad, but i thought he should have done much better.

I think i got my launches down to a "feel" rather than a matching numbers thing. So i'm all heads up now. That was pretty much it for the night, cassie said he was going to be out w/ his buddies TSX but i never did run into him or get a call, so i think he flaked or found something better to do. Living up to Cassie's ability to tell stories is rough.

discuss... and if anyone calls BS i'll internet chair smack you

Re: Spec-V and a TSI

Flake I did not!

No, you did see me last night, I just don't think you know you did. I too whuped a TSI...TWICE! Little bastard wouldn't leave me alone. And I'm trying to come out with the TSX tonight, if my friends little redneck slut of a gf leaves the room for more than two seconds so I can confirm it. I'll make my own post about my races, which I know I said I wasn't gonna do anymore, but meh.

Yeah I know...maybe it is a 13-14second car, and we are both 12 second cars? Lane_change will like us now!

Re: Spec-V and a TSI
