Help, many problems

Hi, Ive had my 98 for almost a year, and it's been acting really screwy. Sometimes when i get in it, the highlights indicator is on even if the highlights arent on, and tonight, it kept dinging at me in a fast high pitch and my keys were in the ignition, the lights turn themselves off, but my fog lights stayed on and so did my brake lights, i have it set for my battery to turn off after 20-30 mins, but its not turning off and i dont know what to do.... any help would be great. And also sometimes when i start my car and my ac or heat is running theres an extremely loud whining sound, its not that loud outside of the car but inside is almost unbearable, when i turn off the heat or ac the noise goes away....again im at a loss.

I would take my car to the dealer and get a diagnostic done by the Tech2 scanner. All the goofy things may be a bad ignition switch. Do a search on this forum for "ignition switch" and see if your symptoms match up. Your symptoms are more goofy than the norm.

that loud whiney sound is your AC/heat (blower) fan bearing going bad. Expect getting a replacement for that. Condensation or even water tends to collect in there with the Intrigue. Have any of your fan speed settings burned out yet? -especially the low speed ones? You may also need to fix the condensation or drainage problem that led to that bad bearing, but being a 1998 car replacing the fan would be typical due to age alone.

As far as the whining noise from your a/c & heater, it's time to replace your blower motor. pm me I'll give you the directions.
