2003 Durango Door Locks / Keyless Entry
My 2003 Durango is suddenly (today) acting wierd:
The doorlocks will lock /unlock at random - particularly when the key is in the ignition and the engine is running. Even when I remove the battery from the transmitter, the behavior continues. Once I arm the security system, it behaves normally. Could it be: 1. bad fuse? 2. bad wiring / short? 3. door lock activator itself? 4. ??? Appreciate your time and advice... Re: 2003 Durango Door Locks / Keyless Entry
One more thing:
Sometimes after I turn off the engine, remove the keys, etc., the security system arms itself without being prompted. Ideas? |

Re: 2003 Durango Door Locks / Keyless Entry
The schematic for fuses, both inside the passenger compartment and under the hood, show no clear fuse for the door locks and/or security system.
Is there a fuse or link for these items? |

Re: 2003 Durango Door Locks / Keyless Entry
I just found a TSB for this problem. I'll contact my dealer and see what gives...

Re: 2003 Durango Door Locks / Keyless Entry
My dealer replaced two (front) door lock switches today - and my warranty covered the expense completely.
So far, so good! Even after the car wash! Thanks everyone for the help! |
