I have been to several junkyards and dealers trying to find this part. It is the plastic cylinder that is on the stud for the latch on hatchback door. They have already been taken at the junkyards and apparently Ford doesn't sell these items anymore. What is it called and where can I get one??? Help before my hatchdoor rattles off on the next pothole!!!

www.mustangsunlimited.com has them, I am pretty sure that is where I picked up mine.

Re: 89 mustang. Looking for a ???
Just go to the parts store and look in the section that has all the HELP! brand trim and cosmetic replacements. You probably will have to get the whole striker post, but at least you don't have to wait for it. On my '89 GT, I made a bushing out of Nylon when I worked in a machine shop. I need to do it again for the SVO.
