Unhappy Headers for 1978

Looked everywhere. Ordered a set through and no go. Searched and called JEGS, Hooker, JC Whitney and many others with no luck. Any ideas besides "custom". My car has a 302.

Re: Headers for 1978

Did you try Hedman? They make headers for a lot of oddball applications.

Yes. Headman, Hookers, JC Whitney, AutoAnything, Summit Racing, Autoparts warehouse, JEGS, Speedcar parts, JBA exhaust, Performance center, Direct Service Outlet are the sites I went to. From there, they have listed all brands of headers. Searched and even called many of them-----still no luck.

Re: Headers for 1978

1977-1979 they do not make headers for these Ford body styles. I have a customer with a 1979 Ranchero, and I found a set of factory '86-'93 Mustang 5.0 headers that worked on his 351W with a little modifications. The idler arm bolts needs to be turned around for clearance, and a heat shield should be installed over the steering box as there is tight clearance.
