Cool IPMS Pics (Very Pics Intensive!!!) ((D'oh))

Here are almost all the pics I took, that have models on it. An empty room of what is was before it started is not so important.. But here they come:

The Prize winner of the smaller then 1/72 planes:

Shot of the cars at the Civil vehicles contest table:

Erik's (306s16) Brabham 1/12:

Erik's other F1 car:

Here's little shot of the shopping part with Erik reading a book:

Another shot of Erik "shopping" what an innocent face :

Now here are some more cars, starting with my second model my 911 GT2 decalless taisan starcard :

Here some pics of a part of the collection Fords from Piet Mosterd :

The prizes that you could win... :

Here Rinus (second man at HRModeller) 911 GT2 and at the background the great Indian motorcycle:

And the colection from Rinus, at least what he took with him.. :

Just a nice Tankdiorama:

And some trucks :

Here the only female in the category 15-25 and what does she look happy :

And finaly, the things were my $$$$ was spent on.. went to the cash dispencer 3 times that day... , but it was well worth it :silly2: :

That's about all i got...

Try to organise one, or just start a group with other people in your area.. This was the first time it was organized like this. IPMS has nationals, but that's only competition. This was mostly show and questions..

JEEZ! IPMS in the states is 98% aircraft/armor/sci-fi geeks! Most of the people you see at an IPMS show here remind one of the Comic-book-store-guy on The Simpsons!! I have never seen that many cars at ANY IPMS shows over here but I'm glad we have some respresentation at their shows overseas. Good show!

It was the same here, mostly planes and tanks, some with figures. Only 2 modelers with cars for the show, some persons like me just toke 1 or 2 models wioth them for the competition. But since I mostly//only like cars, I mostly toke pictures of that. Knowing that you all here wouldn't give so much more for figures or planes.. ( it stays a carforum...)

Atlanta has a huge car-modelling community, and the Chattanooga Automotive Replica Society (CARS) is an awesome club that put on one of the best shows I've ever attended in 2000. Look a little and you shall find!

BTW - Getting past the scowl on her face, that chick is pretty hot!
