Just bought a 06 silverado, modding question.

Just bought my first car last night, 06 Silverado RegCab WT Black 6cyl 4spd, and I love it, its exactly the car i wanted! Now onto the mods right? My main goal is to get those nasty wheel wells to GO AWAY. I plan on repalcing the rims because WT rims are hideous, is it possible to get rid of those unsightly wheel wells by just putting large rims on the car? or do you have to lower it. Lowering and new wheels and tires is kinda out of the budget right now, but one or the other isnt. Anyone familiar with tire/wheel combos that would realy fill those wells on a 06 silverado?

Edit: Or if possible anyone know of any good customizing forums? particulary for chevys?

welcome aboard, wheels will help fill in the wheel wells and would be easier than lowering the truck and look better. if you lower it and leave the stock wheels on it, i dont think it would look to good. i have 22's on my truck and there are several guys on here that have 18's an 20's that look great. check out some of the threads and look in the sigs and see what ya think.

i realy like your truck, is it lowered or is just ur wheels/low profile tires that give it that look?

Shoulda' had the dealer swap em' before you bought it. I has an LS that had the not-so-perty rims on it. For $400, my dealer gave me the reagular LT/Tahoe/Suburban 5-stars... MUCH better to look at.
