timing belt
I'm having problems getting my new timing belt on the tensioner is as far over as I can get it (pretty close to as far as it can go) and it still won't go on. Also the beeping sound for keys left in ignition or lights on won't shut of even if either of those things aren't happening. Any suggestions on those?

Re: timing belt
Not sure about the timing belt. About the beping sound , however, ensure that the key is turned all the way back before removal. It is possible that it gets stuck, and like, with my car, I can remove the key from any position in the ignition. MAy require a bit of force to turn keys all the we back, but be careful not to break it.

Re: timing belt
I am making an assumption about your engine type... but you should be able to pry the tensioner all the way back and then tighten it so that it stays open... then install the belt and release the tensioner (then tighten it again).

Re: timing belt
I agree with Moose, but wanted to clarify. The tensioner on the water pump is the one that you need to Pry. This will give you plenty of room to put the belt back on.
