question about 99 sl2
hi, i am thinking about getting an 99 sl2 and i notice when you go to try to start it then the e brake has to be on is that a safety device or is that a problem and also is ther any anyway to get the child safetly locks taken off so the people in the back seats can actully get out and the car is a automatic.

the e-brake doesnt have to be engaged. what exactly seems to be going on? is it completely in park?
the child safety locks do not need to be removed. inside the door near the lock, you will notice the the lever for it. flip it over and you wont have to worry about it.

i honestly don't know i have not yet bought the car but today i am taking it a mechinc and see any problems like that and about the e brake haveing to be on.
