Whats the biggest size Rim you Can fit on a Zx3

I want to get rims for my 2000 Ford Focus Zx3 all everyone talks about is 17's but i wanna go different I want to get 18's will 18's rub at all? I know that the tires will be more expensive and all. If I go with 18's is there a certain profile i have to go with? I also got the stock height on the car right now.

You can go with 18's they look good to but the hieght would be very low pro im talking like 35's but take in consideration your gonna be riding like your on a stage coach its bumpy and hanling is not so great. and you know those things on the side of the road that make noise when you run over them, they will rip open your tire

If it will cause handling problems and the tires wearing quicker i should consider 17's but whats the lowest profile i should go if I get 17's?

50s will fit but most tire places will tell you 45s so that the wheel height stays roughly the same. Going to too low a profile is going to give you a buckboard ride and no appreciable handling benefit, in addition to costing more. If you are looking to go for a unique look and have the scratch, why not have a set of wheels custom painted? Ronal does it for about $100 a wheel, but I'm sure if you researched you could find a good body shop or powder coating place to do it. That way you get the style you want and a one off no one else has.

i think 50 might be a little too much sidewall. the svt focus comes stock with 17 inch wheels and 45 series tires. it is a good idea to use sizes that will keep the overall height as close to stock as possible

Thanks guys. I have decided to stick with 17's becase this weekend I got 17's and I went to put them on my car and they look fine but they didnt fit cuz they were 4x100 and 4x4.5 I need 4x108!
