front speaker suggestions...
last fall i installed rear speakers in my cavi and to my surprise they were too big. now, they were 6 x 9 but they didnt fit so i ended up hack sawing the holes bigger to make them fit. now im thinkin about replacing the front speakers and i dont want to go through the same hassle again so i was wondering what speakers anyone has had success with in their cavi's. i have a 98 cavi just in case you need to know.
~thanks |

Re: front speaker suggestions...
If you want good sound go with 6 1/2" in the front. Dont worry about having to trim a little bit out of the speaker hole.

Re: front speaker suggestions...
im not even sure what the front speaker holes look like. i havent took the door panel apart yet cause its been a little cold in wisconsin lately. how hard is it to trim the speaker hole? would i need to get a bracket or anything or will a 6 1/2" speaker fit fine with just a little trimming?

Re: front speaker suggestions...
you have 4x6 speakers stock in the front doors.. but like rob bish said if your wanting great sound i would suggest 6 1/2 component set.

Re: front speaker suggestions...
they make adapter plates for 6.5 speakers, and most sizes to fit in the 4x6 plate hole
