2003 Jetta died on the highway

I have a 2003 Jetta 1.8T with 100,000 highway miles. Yesterday as I drove home at about 60mph the car just dies. It was like someone turned the key off. I tried restarting several times and it's like it has no fire. It turns over but does not begin to start. I checked the fuses and none appear to be blown so I have no idea what happened. I will have to haul it 60 miles to the nearest Volkswagen dealership so any repair suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
RussGT

Re: 2003 Jetta died on the highway

One of the main fuses in the engine bay may have failed (blew). Check the fuse links that are on top of the battery. You'll have to remove the cover, the fuses look like strips of aluminum about 1 1/4 inches long. Also check the fuse panel to see if the fuse for the fuel pump blew, or any other fuses such as the ECM or ignition fuses.

Better not crank on it to much unless you already have...
