are all 2wd transmissions the same

just blew transmission and was wondering if the 2wd 3kgt and stealth had the same transmission. i have '98 3kgt fwd...that's what happens if you launched at 4000k rpm's too many times

Yes the 93-99 FWD 5 speed trans is the same in the steath and 3000gt.

4000rpms? I can get decent launches out of the 5000-5500 area.

ya, i've got to where i can smoke my tires if i launch from around 4,000 and just keep 'em spinning all the way up to 6,000. but the 'one-too-many-times' thing has got to be a killer.

Hah, well my launches may be due to the fact that I just got brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires

ive heard a decent amount of good things about these tires so i bought a set and i was a lil disapointed they dont grip as much as my old dunlops did from a dig. and i can spin my tires alot more easily in these too...
