Re: power windows

The switch thing just sounds like a bad wire or contact.

As for the sluggish window - try using silicone spray lube and spray the side channels and weather stripping that faces the glass while moving the glass up and down until it starts moving faster - dried out weather stripping causes a lot of drag.
I had an '89 Cherokee with a drivers side window that wouldn't close unless I pulled it up by hand and pushed the close button at the same time.
I sprayed the heck out of side channels and weather stripping and worked the window, after awhile it was moving up and down faster than the others.

Re: power windows

I have this same problem with the right rear passenger window. If one of my boys plays with the window and I go to use the switch on the driversdoor to put it up it won't do anything, I have to reach back and hit the button. I figured the contacts inside the switch were prolly sticking and never got around to tearing it apart.
