Adding A/C...

Anybody know if it's difficult (or what's involved) to add air conditioning to a CRX that didn't come with it from the factory?

Re: Adding A/C...

Wiring harness, all of the lines, the compressor, condensor, drier, evaporator, probably the whole box under the dash, the a/c switch (not sure if youll need a whole new head unit) and all sensors and relays to make it run, I believe, also may need a new ecu (correct me if I'm wrong) because you a/c runs through it...youve got your work cut out for you, Id just get one with a/c to begin with...My swapped crx had a/c and all i need is the wiring a compressor sondensor lines etc....and im going to have a helluva time with it..

Re: Adding A/C...

i live in the desert(tucson/az) and i would much rather have the few ponys than a/c. dont get me wroge i love it. but my need for speed is way to overpowering. and probly cuz i only got a zc and need what i can get to keep up with them b series motors. good luck tho i just removed all the ac stuff that is needed under the dash. send me a pm if you might be interested. layta

Re: Adding A/C...

Thanks FrodoGT. Yeah I figured it would be alot of work. I guess I'll just have to keep looking until I find one that had A/C from the factory originally.
