need help on first tuner to buy.

i want a tuner i have no idea what to get cuz what i want is either unavailible in my area of to spendy. i love supras, 3000gt, prelude, 89' 240sx fastback, 300zx, and pretty much all other nissans. but cant get any of those here in mo for reasonalbe prices.

What do you plan on doing? 1/4? Drift? Street racing? Are you wanting RWD, AWD, FWD? Would you be doing an engine swap or building up existing engine? How much do you have to spend? Will this also have to be a daily driver?

What I am thinking of doing now is getting a 87-91 RX7 and dropping in a built LS1. The weight increase shouldn't be too bad and would actually give a better weight distribution if I did it right. I think a reliable 500 HP car would be quite attainable doing that, and I believe I could get out for under $12k.

The most common tuner now seems to be a 240sx with the SR20DET. It will be peppy and can run well with newer cars, but you won't be blowing anyone's doors off.

Well i used to own or should i say borrowd a 93 talon with awd and twin turbos. it was my 16th bday gift from my uncle, but when he was using it he blew a turbo i didn't car for tuners then i was into trucks. so i sold it to this kid for $1000 and his 94 F150 (which was beat to piss) i loved the talon but it wasn't my thing back then. i street race now i have a 91 chevy caprice with a LS1 and it's nice but gas sucks literally i want a four banger or a v6 at the biggest

supra- would have to be a mkII, the mkIII's are expensive as hell

3000gt- heavy as hell and not worth the money, if you want a dsm get a 2g eclipse or for some reason the eagle talon's cheaper than the eclipse

240sx fastback- used to be a pretty cheap car but after the drifting craze the prices skyrocketed but overall good car for the price

300zx- pretty expensive except for the 80's 300zx's but if you want one with the vg30dett they'll be about 6k for a 1990

what's your price range anyway?

the talon you drove was single turbo not twin, twin would be pointless
